    The team included US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Keith Heffern, signaling strengthened military cooperation amid Nigeria’s counter-terrorism push.

    Tinubu hosted the visitors alongside National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and service chiefs in closed-door talks, details of which remain undisclosed.

    Special Assistant on Social Media Dada Olusegun confirmed the engagement follows recent US troop deployment reports since Christmas 2025 airstrikes on terrorist positions.

    The parley underscores bilateral security frameworks tackling regional threats in the North-East and North-West.
