The agreement follows Arsenal’s recent move to secure the futures of several key players, with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly also signing new contracts.

Saka, whose previous deal was due to expire in June 2027, is finalising an improved contract that will keep him at the Emirates until 2031.

The England international has become a central figure at his boyhood club under manager Mikel Arteta, having played more minutes than any other Arsenal player since the Spaniard took charge in 2019.

In total, Saka has made 290 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 77 goals, while this season he has found the net seven times in 27 appearances across all competitions.

He has been pivotal to Arsenal’s recent title challenges, particularly in the 2023/24 campaign when he recorded 20 goals and 14 assists in all competitions as the club finished just two points behind Manchester City in the Premier League.

Last season, Saka registered 12 goals and 13 assists in 37 appearances, despite missing three months with a hamstring injury that required surgery in December 2024.

So far this season, the academy product has contributed seven goals and six assists in 27 games, underlining his continued importance to Arsenal’s ambitions
