QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness company, has won a Gold Stevie® Award at the 22nd Annual International Business Awards (IBA) for its consumer protection campaign, QNET Against Scams.
The campaign, which was launched in Ghana in 2024 and later expanded to Senegal and Sierra Leone, was recognised in the Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Brand / Reputation Management category.
It also earned a Silver Stevie® Award in the Public Service category and a Bronze Stevie® Award for V-Africa 2025: Rebuilding Trust and Empowering Entrepreneurs in Africa Through QNET’s Flagship Convention in the Corporate & Community – Community Engagement Event category.
These accolades place QNET among leading global brands acknowledged for excellence in communications and corporate responsibility.
The QNET Against Scams campaign was developed in response to the misuse of the company’s name by fraudulent individuals who misled communities with false promises of jobs, visas, and quick financial returns.
QNET clarified that it is a legitimate direct selling company, and income is earned solely through the sale of its wellness and lifestyle products.
The campaign aimed to educate the public on how to identify and avoid scams, using a mix of billboards, radio and TV spots, comic-style flyers, social media outreach, and dynamic street activations, including roller-skating teams.
It also involved close collaboration with law enforcement agencies and regulators to strengthen consumer protection.
The campaign reached tens of thousands of people through grassroots events and outdoor activations in major cities. It partnered with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Ghana Police Service, and Immigration Service, as well as Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
QNET also launched a dedicated Scam Alert portal to help consumers identify and report fraudulent activity and engaged extensively with the media through press briefings and compliance initiatives.
According to the 2024 Global State of Scams report by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) and Feedzai, global losses from scams were estimated at USD 1.03 trillion in the past 12 months, highlighting the urgency of corporate-led consumer protection efforts.
Speaking on the recognition, Trevor Kuna, Chief Marketing Officer of QNET, said the awards validate the company’s efforts to fight back against those who misuse its brand name to defraud others.
He reaffirmed QNET’s commitment to protecting the communities in which it operates and rebuilding trust with customers and stakeholders.
He said the accolades affirm the company’s dedication to responsible entrepreneurship and the values that drive its mission forward.
