MTN Nigeria Unveils 2025 ‘Best of the Streets’ Talent Hunt to Empower Creatives

MTN Nigeria has launched the 2025 edition of its Best of the Streets talent hunt, a transformative platform aimed at discovering and nurturing Nigeria’s next generation of creative talent.

Starting May 1, 2025, the competition offers unsigned artists life-changing rewards, including a grand money prize, professional music video production, and an EP recording deal.

The initiative, in collaboration with D’banj’s C.R.E.A.M platform, seeks to empower grassroots artists by providing talent management, publishing, and funding support. D’banj highlighted the platform’s role in giving creatives the tools to take their talents global.

Chris Anokute, a renowned music executive, praised the initiative for its potential to push Nigerian music to the international stage, emphasizing the global growth of Afrobeats. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State’s Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, underscored the importance of empowering youth, noting that platforms like this encourage creativity and innovation.

Aspiring contestants can participate by dialing *463# on their MTN line, uploading original content via the official @creamplatform, and mobilizing votes from the public.

The competition will reward over 2,584 creatives throughout the year, culminating in a grand prize winner.

This initiative reinforces MTN’s commitment to youth empowerment and aligns with Nigeria’s growing entertainment industry demands
