    MTN Nigeria Secures NCC Approval for 800MHz Spectrum Licence Renewal and Extension – Ravenewsonline

    MTN Nigeria Communications PLC has received approval from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for the renewal of its first 800MHz Spectrum band licence (Channel 1) for an additional ten years, effective from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2034.

    Additionally, the NCC has approved the extension of the second 800MHz spectrum band licence (Channel 2), which was set to expire on December 31, 2030, for an additional four years, aligning its expiration date with Channel 1 on December 31, 2034.

    MTN Nigeria CEO Karl Toriola expressed satisfaction with the successful renewal and harmonisation of the 800MHz spectrum licences, highlighting that this will support the ongoing delivery of 4G services and meet the growing demand for data.

    This move is integral to MTN Nigeria’s broader strategy for enhancing connectivity.

    It’s a significant development for MTN Nigeria and its customers, ensuring continued and improved service delivery.
