    MTN Nigeria Becomes First African Telco in PMI Global Executive Council

    MTN Nigeria has made history by becoming the first African telecommunications company to join the prestigious Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Executive Council. This achievement highlights the company’s commitment to excellence in project management and its dedication to implementing best practices.

    The announcement was celebrated at an event held at the MTN Plaza, where George Asamani, Managing Director of PMI Sub-Saharan Africa, presented the PMI Global Executive Council certificate to the company. This milestone underscores the company’s leadership in the telecommunications sector and sets a new standard for project management excellence across Africa.

    “Joining the PMI Global Executive Council signals MTN Nigeria’s commitment to innovation and excellence, this council represents the best in project management globally, and MTN Nigeria’s inclusion is a significant achievement for the African continent,” said George Asamani, Managing Director, PMI, Sub-Saharan Arica.

    The PMI Global Executive Council comprises industry-leading organizations from around the world, who come together to share best and emerging project management practices that shape policies and frameworks globally. In partnership with PMI, the Council creates meaningful opportunities for learning and networking through engaging experiences and events featuring influential thought leaders.
