5 Months After, BigiBet Has Not Paid Gambler Who Won N256,000

Chinedu Isaac, a Delta-based corps member, has accused BigiBet, a sports betting company, of withholding his winnings for five months.

Chinedu told FIJ that he played a game on their website on November 27, 2021, and it was successful.

He said the money he was meant to collect was validated by BigiBet on November 29 at 11:19 pm.

“BigiBet takes a maximum of 24 hours to make payment after winning. But, when I played this, it took more time than I expected. I sent messages to them on Twitter and Facebook, and even called their customer care, but they kept telling me they would pay,” said Chinedu.

Chinedu said he called BigiBet out on Twitter on December 14 but they did not react to the post.

“The only thing their customer care kept saying was ‘be patient, we are working double time to make sure you get credited soon.’”

FIJ’s phone call to Bigibet customer care was not answered. They had also not responded to an email sent to them at press time.
