At least 37 ISWAP / Boko Haram terrorists were killed in Nigerian Air Force airstrikes in Sambisa Forest.

Brigadier General Nwachukwu said many other terrorists were also injured during the night operation.
“The joint troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) continued to intensify their attacks against terrorist enclaves in the northeast, as in the early hours of Saturday, October 30, 2021, vigilant troops observed the movement of six trucks artillery in the Sambisa forest. area, which were then located in a settlement near Yuwe, ”Nwachukwu said.
“The trucks then moved to a remote location, where they were joined by other terrorist elements, in what appeared to be a convergence for a meeting.
“More than 50 Boko Haram / ISWAP fighters gathered at the meeting. After clearly identifying the terrorists’ hiding place, the OPHK air component immediately dispatched two planes to carry out an air ban on the site.
“The strikes, which were carried out under cover of darkness, were successful and devastating, as the combat damage assessment corroborated by local sources revealed that more than 37 Boko Haram / ISWAP terrorists were neutralized, while several of them would have suffered injuries to varying degrees.
“In another development, as the planes retreated to their base after the air ban, the combat aircrew located another set of four artillery trucks about six kilometers southwest of Bama.
“The aircrew immediately relayed the coordinates of the location of the artillery trucks to the ground component troops in Bama, who quickly engaged the location with artillery bombardments, neutralizing the insurgent weapons trucks.
“The success of the joint operations carried out by the air and ground components, with the support of other security agencies within the framework of Operation HADIN KAI, has once again underlined the importance of synergy and cooperation in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.
“OPHK troops remain resolute and unwavering in their efforts to bring the insurgents to their knees.”
