How to Enjoy the MTN 5G Service

Nigeria is at the forefront of a technological revolution. MTN Nigeria is currently running a pilot of its 5G service ahead of the commercial rollout in seven cities across Nigeria. The pilot commenced on the 24th of August, 2022.

This promises to be an exciting time for all Nigerians as we get to experience the endless and quite breathtaking possibilities that 5G technology enables. 5G enables incredible speeds and ensures low latency, which means you can stream your favourite shows or enjoy gaming without lag. You can download a full-length HD movie to your phone in seconds (even in crowded spaces).

5G is really powerful at connecting things everywhere and efficiently without buffering, with higher multi-Gbps maximum data speeds, ultra-low latency, increased reliability, massive network capacity, and increased availability. With 5G, we could have endless possibilities like immersive virtual reality, smart homes, smart cities, smart farming, life-changing healthcare advancements, smart manufacturing, among others.

To enjoy 5G, MTN customers will need a 5G enabled and compatible device. However, MTN has made it easier for its subscribers to purchase the new 5G broadband router. The 5G broadband router is available for pre-order via the MTN website. The service features super-fast internet; high speed and performance compared to 3G and 4G; capacity to accommodate more than 30 devices at a time; superior streaming, data downloads, and uploads, smooth browsing experience, a wide Wi-Fi connection range; and a massive 100GB data bonus on activation.

The MTN 5G broadband router is currently available in over 200 locations across seven states in Nigeria: Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Owerri, and Maiduguri.  In order not to miss out on what is a great deal, here are the five -steps on how to pre-order yours:

Step 1: Go to the webpage and visit the MTN 5G portal. Enter www.mtn.ng/5g-router

Step 2: Search for 5G coverage zones to confirm if your location is covered

Step 3: Fill out the form containing contact address information

Step 4: Select the device type, colour, and quantity of your choice

Step 5: Proceed to pre-order

With these five simple steps, you could be among the first to enjoy a new world of endless possibilities with 5G.
