Osoba, Ohuabunwa and Others Profiled in Azuh Arinze’s New Books on Leadership and Success

Azuh Arinze, the Publisher and Editor in Chief, ‘Yes International!’ Magazine has just unveiled two new books at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on March 24, 2022. The public presentation of the books is a part of the author’s 50th birthday celebrations.

 Top players in politics, pharmaceuticals and business have been profiled in one of the two new books by the Publisher and Editor in Chief, ‘Yes International!’ Magazine, Azuh Arinze titled ‘A Taste of Success.’ Among other issues, the author focuses on entrepreneurship, offering incisive interviews on how these individuals built their own empires from small beginnings.

 It features perspectives from a former governor of Ogun State, renowned journalist, and one of the most respected voices in polity such as Aremo Segun Osoba; Sam Ohuabunwa, respected pharmacist and former chairman of Neimeth Pharmaceuticals as well as Bruce Onobrakpeya, the legendary artist.

 A consummate journalist, Osoba is the first Nigerian to have won this prestigious Nieman Fellowship for Journalism at Harvard University, Cambridge. During his second term as Ogun State Governor, he introduced state payment of West African Examination Council fees to “guarantee that no student was denied the joy of sitting for WAEC because of poverty.”

 Mazi Samuel Iheanyichukwu Ohuabunwa OFR wears three caps as a Nigerian pharmacist, politician and business executive. Ohuabunwa is the founding president of the West African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association.

 Onobrakpeya is a Nigerian printmaker, painter and sculptor who has exhibited at prestigious international galleries including the Tate Modern in London and National Museum of African Art of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

 Others include corporate guru, Seni Adetu; Dakuku Peterside, former NIMASA DG; Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Festus Keyamo and Babatunde Ogala; celebrated journalists Dele Momodu and Adesuwa Onyenokwe; renowned academics Professors Okey Ndibe and Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo.

 The success stories of these business executives are featured in the new books alongside other high-profile individuals and lessons to be learnt from them.

 The second book, ‘Conversations With Showbiz Stars,’ is a revealing account of the journalist’s encounters with 35 leading Nigerian entertainers. With decades of enviable exploits in music, film, radio and media productions, these entertainers are leading acts in acting, comedy and music. They include  King Sunny Ade, Femi Kuti, 2Baba, Onyeka Onwenu, Tiwa Savage, Lagbaja, Wasiu Ayinde, Richard Mofe Damijo, Pete Edochie, Funke Akindele, Kenneth Okonkwo, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Segun Arinze, Desmond Elliot, Ali Nuhu, Chioma Chukwuka, Ali Baba, Gbenga Adeyinka, Basketmouth, Okey Bakassi, Tee A, Julius Agwu, AY, Bovi and Don Jazzy, to name a few.

 The foreword to this 294-paged book is written by the Former Editor of The Punch and former Lagos State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Steve Ayorinde.

 With a promise of refund, Arinze assured readers that every moment counts in reading the books. 

 Azuh Arinze said, “Without holding back anything, they shared with me how they embarked on their success journey; how they eventually attained success and above all, how they have been sustaining that success.”

 Azuh Arinze, who is the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of ‘Yes International!’ served as the Editor of Encomium Weekly from 2003 to 2011. Prior to that, he had edited Reel Stars Magazine. ‘Tested and Trusted Success Secrets of the Rich and Famous’ and ‘The CEO’s Bible volumes 1 and 2’ are some of his earlier books.
