Movember: Tiger Beer Encourages Mental and Physical Health Care

International premium beer brand Tiger Lager recently organized a two-day event to appreciate and create awareness for men and their mental health for the month of November.

It was pure excitement as notable individuals like Noble Igwe, Taymesan, Nnamdi Okeke, Samuel Otigba, and many more were in attendance.

The events which were held at the Live Lounge in Victoria Island, Lagos, and the Mancave in Lekki, Lagos, gave men an opportunity to talk about important things that affect them, all the while enjoying cold beer and playing exciting games and activities.

The events were put together as part of the brand’s movember campaign to raise awareness for men’s mental health.

“Movember” is a global movement to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and men’s suicide using unconventional approaches such as a man’s moustache.

The Tiger beer brand encouraged its consumers and target audience to Uncage their “Tashes” and emotions throughout the month.

With this unique campaign, the public was implored to join in on the conversation, as Tiger beer had giphy tashes, IG Live with a mental health professional, tiger care packages amongst others encouraging men to share their unique stories.

Speaking at the event, Chinwe Greg-Egu, Brand Manager, International brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, said, “Tiger beer inspires people to uncage and express themselves.

“For the last month, the Movember campaign started and maintains the conversations we seldom ever have in Nigeria. Conversations highlighting how men must be in tune with their emotions and mental health. With this campaign we wanted to create a safe space for them, and I’m glad we not only did that but we surpassed expectations.”

For men who attended the Mancave x Tiger events on Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28, the events posed an opportunity to uncage – either by having a clean haircut, playing snooker, or even having a pedicure right at the venue.

Tiger Beer, a product of Nigeria’s leading brewer, Nigerian Breweries Plc, is known for its penchant for self-expression. For two years now, Tiger Beer has constantly thrown its weight behind conversations surrounding its unique brand message of uncaging, and it seems no one is left as men uncaged their emotions, anxieties, and thoughts.
