Two personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and three other people have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen in separate attacks in Benue State.
The security personnel were killed on Friday April 29, alongside the driver of the commander of the state livestock guards while on duty at a waterside vicinity in Wadata axis of Makurdi Local Government Area, while the villagers were hacked to death in Logo LGA of the state.
According to a resident who spoke to Daily Trust, the NSCDC personnel encountered some armed invaders who opened fire on them.
The other two deceased, according to a community leader, were attacked on Thursday evening at Tse Tume in Turan council ward of Logo while they were working on their farm.
The community leader gave their names as Terkende Injarwua and Mfaiga Ukor, adding that their corpse had been recovered and buried on Friday.
